Cancellation Rights

You may return the goods to us within 14 days of receipt in mint condition and we will issue an immediate refund.


Alternatively and in accordance with the distance selling regulations we will be happy to provide a refund or exchange for any item provided. Please contact us within 7 working days of your order receipt via a durable form such as post. We can then arrange for your refund to be processed (this may take up to 30 days). As part of your contract with us you are required to return any unwanted items to us within 30 days of cancellation. We can either arrange collection (at your cost) or you may arrange to return the items to us. Please note that you are obliged to have taken reasonable care of the items and we reserve the right to deduct the cost of recovering the items should you not return them to us within 30 days of cancellation.


Price Pledge

Fishtec promises to match any identical item genuinely advertised cheaper elsewhere by one of our competitors who have the item in stock. It is our company aim to encourage more people to use the Internet as a means of purchasing quality fishing tackle. As a result you will find some of the prices and deals on this site are more competitive than in our printed catalogue. Our price pledge refers to UK sourced products available ex stock and excludes magazine flag flap offers. We reserve the right not to offer our pledge on liquidated, end of line or OEM items, prices that have been printed incorrectly or prices when the supplier cannot supply owing to lack of stock. Price pledge refunds will be made in the form of discount/credit at the time of ordering.


Free Postage Offers

Please note free postage credit is only redeemed against postage rates, the maxiumum standard rate being £7.95. Any postage credit remaining will not be deducted from the goods total when the order is processed. This may not be reflected on the initial email confirmation but will always be shown on the invoice supplied with the order. The amount charged will always be the cost of the goods as shown on the website, with free postage in accordance with the advertised offer.


Product Exchanges & Refunds

If you need to exchange a product for an alternative (for example if you have the incorrect size jacket) please do so by sending the unused and as new goods with the original packaging, all labels and tags back to us within 14 days of receipt by a secure delivery method. We recommend you use Royal Mail recorded or special delivery or a courier as we cannot be held responsible for non-arrival of goods.


Please enclose a copy of the original receipt or invoice. Please advise what the reason for the return is and the action you require regarding a replacement or alternative. This will allow us to gain all the relevant information and to process the return as quickly as possible. On receipt of the goods we will inspect the products to ensure they meet our requirements.


You are responsible for return postage costs to us and the goods must be in an unused and as new condition. We will pay for postage costs for the new item being returned to you except for orders outside of the UK. We reserve the right to refuse any return if they do not meet our conditions above. Next Day Delivery - Mainland UK orders only - £9.95

Next Day Delivery is available (excluding Highlands, Islands and overseas) for orders placed before 3pm Monday-Thursday. Items under 2kg are sent by first class post where 95% of all orders are received next working day. All other orders are sent by Interlink on next day courier service where 98% of items are delivered next day. Please note we are in the hands of our trusted couriers and therefore cannot guarantee this service.


Unfortunately we are unable to offer next day delivery to the following postcodes: AB33-38, AB44-45, AB51-56, FK20, G83, ALL IV, ALL KW, PA21-40, PH19-26, PF30-44, PA20, PA41-49, PA60-69, PA70-78, PA88. Delivery time to these postcodes should take 3-4 days.

Delivery: Overseas Orders & BFPO

All overseas orders incur a minimum £10.00 P&P charge on all orders. Exact postage will be calculated and customers will be informed prior to despatch.


We will only send an overseas order if all items are in stock. We advise you to ensure somebody is present at the delivery address as a signature will be required.


We must be informed of all damaged deliveries within 48 hours.


We cannot take any responsibility for late or lost returned parcels.

Special Offers & Free Gifts

All special offers are subject to availability. Free gifts and special offer discounts are only available at the time of ordering. If no free gift is specified on your order, none will be sent. Only 1 free gift can be claimed per order.

Making a contract with us

When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy goods. We will send you an e-mail to confirm we have received your order.


In the unlikely event that the goods are no longer available, or that we have made a pricing mistake, we will email you to inform you of this. If the goods you order are not available, we may supply you with subsitute goods. If you decide not to accept the substitute goods, you will be able to return them to us at no cost to yourself.


How to place an order

Orders are made by selecting the items you wish to purchase and adding them to your online shopping basket, you can do this for any product by clicking the ‘Add To Basket’ button on the product description page. Once you are ready to pay for your order, go to your shopping basket by clicking the basket link in the top right of the page or by clicking on ‘Shopping Basket’ link near the bottom of the page.


This will take you to a page showing the items in your basket. At this point you may enter the codes for any promotional vouchers or gift vouchers you may have. Once you are ready to continue, click the ‘GO TO SECURE CHECKOUT’ button.


From this point onwards, all information is transmitted securely. If you are a new customer, enter your email address and click the Go to Order Form button. If you have shopped with us before and have created a user account, enter your email address and password and click the Get My Information button.


On the next page, enter your details, cardholder address, delivery address and payment card details. All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required and cannot be left blank. In addition, certain characters (such as '&', '$', '%') are considered invalid and you will receieve an error should you try to use these in any of the input boxes.


Once you have entered your details and you are happy they are correct, click the Confirm Details button. This will give you the opportuninty to review your order details before placing your order by clicking ‘Confirm Order’.

Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle electrical equipment will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination - harming wildlife and also human health.


We're proud to support your local authority in providing local recycling facilities for electrical equipment.


To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Please do not throw any electrical equipment (including those marked with this symbol) in your bin.


What is WEEE?

The Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of these items.


How are we helping?

In the UK, distributors including retailers must provide a system which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge. As a responsible retailer, we have met the requirements placed on us by financially supporting the national network of WEEE recycling centres established by local authorities. This is achieved through membership of the national Distributor Take-back scheme (DTS).

Under the Waste Battery Regulations, FishTec are now offering a take back scheme for all portable waste batteries .You can return your waste batteries to our business premises in person (please do not post)). Alternatively, you can find your local waste portable battery recycling facility at www.recyclenow.co.uk. Most supermarkets and shops that sell batteries will have collection bins for used batteries, and some town halls, libraries or schools may also set up collection points. End-users may find stores in their local area more accessible.
